Earth's Orbit Radius

The average orbital speed of earth is 29.78 kms-1,

This gives a average orbit radius of,

\({O}_{avg}\) = \(\cfrac{{V}^{2}_{avg}}{{F}_{e}}\) = ((29.78)^2)/0.000005886 = 150670812 km

This value compares very well with the measured value of

( aphelion + perihelion )/2 = ( 152098232 + 147098290 )/2 = 149598261 km

What is more important is the use of the adjusted \({{F}_{e}}\) based on the new estimate of Sun's Mass.

\({F}_{e}=\cfrac{{M}_{e}}{{M}_{e}+{M}_{s}}{F}_{ob}\)

\({F}_{ob}={g}_{e}\)

\({{F}_{e}}\) = 5.97219*10^24/(9.942779860*10^(27)+5.97219*10^24 )*0.00980665 = 0.000005886  kms-2.
