A virus that breaks into parts after it infects the host! As such no longer detected as the original virus, and the breakaway virus parts go on to infect the host further.

A virus that produce another virus form, not contagious, but infects the host further. Maybe contagious by blood. But the new viral form does not revert to the contagious form.
If this can be true then, SARS-CoV-2 is just a harbinger that introduces a multi-organ infection virus into the host.
