Polio, Prawns, Octopus And Minced Fish

Was there a dietary change during the emergence of polio?  In particular, live prawns, fish paste and octopus. Did marine fish keeping that might invite neuro-toxins from anemones and other fish predators come into vogue just before the polio pandemic?

Marine fish paste is often a good mix of everything, stunk fish, rotting dead fish, small prawns, crabs, etc.  It is used only as fertilizer and fish feed.  Minced fresh water fish paste is safer.

And the term 'Ciguatera fish poisoning' comes to mind.  Could ciguatera be polio?
