This pain in the shoulder joint (also called Parsonage–Turner syndrome) and loss of mobility when the arm is behind, against the back, is of unknown cause although specific risk factors (post-operative, post-infectious, post-traumatic or post-vaccination) are associated with it.
Apparently, in at least one case, this 'pain' when in the eyes causes myopia.
