Von Braun And Anti Gravity Rockets

Once I saw a clip of Von Braun's failed rocket launch at the launch pad,

The rocket was swirling about its mid length, tracing the shape of two cones like a hour glass.

What could have cause such a failure?

They mounted the antigravity device along the length of the rocket and the lift force sideway cause the rocket to spin horizontally.   The antigravity device should be perpendicular to the length of the rocket during launch and then turned horizontal when it rides tangential to Earth's surface.

Kaboom.
