Noah's Arch And Space Launch

 It does not make sense that Noah travel back in time only to wait for impending doom.  He/She must have travelled into the future to avoid disaster.

The sail or flag is to signal level ground on the other side.  Only on sight of the sail does crossing starts.  Otherwise, it is possible to step into outer space after the arch.
